What:
U.S. Guzzisti unite by relaying a "baton" (a single cylinder flywheel repro compliments of the IL Riders) across the U.S. enroute to the MGNOC National Rally every year. As the baton travels, donations are taken for the Injured Rider's Fund, and awarded to a Guzzisti (most in need) at the end of the year.

How to participate in the 2009 Relay:
Join us by signing into the Forum HERE - announce yourself and the area(s) you can cover. This is a low-pressure, social relay. Routes are to be determined on the Forum link above. The baton is to be moved frequently, so please *only* sign up if you can relay it in a timely fashion. However, by signing up, you are not under any obligation to participate if the Relay schedule conflicts with yours, but please be curteous and feel obliged to help move it to the next person.
The baton is to be moved by a Moto Guzzi motorcycle ONLY, NOTHING else.
We do also ask that everyone reading this make a donation for the Guzzi Injured Riders Fund (I.R.F.) - there is no minimum donation amount, even if you cannot participate in the Relay. If you cannot make the Relay or National Rally, use the “ChipIn!” button to the right at any time! We look forward to hearing from you. See you on the Forum.

Progress:
The Relay is underway as of the 24th March!
Updates will be posted on the Forum above AND our Relay Blog, featured on our "ChipIn!" donation page, found HERE. Photos to be uploaded* & seen HERE.

The First National Relay '08 was
a Huge Success!

The Baton was launched from Malibu, CA, home of the 37th Annual MGNOC Rally early last year, relayed around the country and back again just in time for the 2008 National Rally at Leo Carrillo State Park. Over $2,600 was raised for the injured riders fund and all the nominations for last year's benefactor were for Mike Bui. Mike crashed his Norge in a remote part of West Texas en route to pick up the baton in New Mexico. He was found miraculously by other bikers. He is still healing from a broken back among other things. Mike was extremely grateful to receive the full award.
